Delete your Voymark data

Voymark is the travel passport app published by Outside Software SRL for iPhone and Android. Almost everything it holds is already on your phone, so most of this page is one step long. This page covers both apps.

Your travel record — delete it yourself, in seconds

Countries, trips, places, cities, notes, journals, photo links and settings live only in the app's own storage on your phone. We never receive them, so there is nothing for us to delete on your behalf. Either of these removes all of it:

  • Delete the app. On both iPhone and Android, uninstalling removes the app's storage with it, and with it every country, trip, place and note.
  • Or open More → Import & Export inside the app and use the reset there, if you want to start from an empty passport without removing the app.

Backups and exports you created — CSV, GPX, KML, GeoJSON, PDF travel books, passport files — are ordinary files wherever you saved them. They are not touched by uninstalling, so delete them the way you delete any other file.

Anonymous statistics — the only thing we can delete for you

If you agreed to send anonymous usage statistics or crash reports, those sit with Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics, which process them for us. Two steps, and the second is optional:

  • Stop future collection: open More → Privacy in the app and switch it off. This takes effect immediately and needs no message to us.
  • Have what was already collected removed: email hello@voymark.app with the subject Delete my analytics data. To find the identifier that lets us locate it, open More → Privacy → Anonymous statistics; the screen shows your app-instance ID and lets you copy it. Paste it into the email. We do not need — and do not want — your name, your address or anything else.
  • You will get a confirmation once the request is filed — we aim to do that within 7 days, and the GDPR requires it within one month. Google then removes the data from reporting within 72 hours and deletes it from its servers within two months; those last steps are Google's timetable, not ours, which is why we confirm the filing rather than the erasure. Data nobody asks us to delete expires by itself after 14 months.

If you never agreed to send them — or you chose crash reports only — there is correspondingly less or nothing to delete, and the same email address will confirm that too.

What is kept, and for how long

Nothing else exists. There is no Voymark account, no Voymark server holding your trips, and no copy of your passport anywhere but your own device and the files you made. The anonymous statistics described above are the only data we hold, they are kept for 14 months and then deleted automatically, and they are never linked to your name, your email or an advertising identifier — the apps do not read one at all.
